The challenge we’ve set ourselves is a huge one, but it’s not like we’ve not got the experience of turning companies around and, when I see what we’ve achieved so far as Titan, I have nothing but belief in our model for success and the people we have to make that happen.
Having made several presentations in the last three weeks to our current and perhaps some of our future partners, I have had time to reflect on our success and our course for the future. Titan has overachieved in every single area. When we take over from a competitor we consistently achieve double digit revenue increases and when we make acquisitions, it’s not long before the numbers show how good Titan really is.
In the past there have been those who said we couldn’t make money when we took over Boston and Philadelphia and those that doubted us when we took over in Ireland on just six days’ notice. We proved them all wrong then and, to those who wonder why we bought Maiden, we will also prove your doubts to be unfounded.
We have already made enormous strides in re-branding the company and will continue to make our mark with our advertising industry launch campaign and as our site re-brand programme reaches critical mass. We have positioned ourselves for the terrific revenue increases that are sure to come.
So why is it that we can turn it around when, in most cases, the competition chooses not to? It starts with hiring the right people. We inherited really high-calibre staff from Maiden, and now we’ve also installed great management who can share our vision and who are dedicated to being the very best at what they do. From there we instil the philosophy that is key to our success.
Our approach is based on sales, sales and more sales. But that’s not only our Sales Representatives; this a philosophy which allows the whole of Titan to out-deliver against our competitors on quality of service, quality of ideas and quality of solutions which makes the Titan sell so compelling. This is an approach which worked very well for TDI and is now working even better for Titan.
So what’s on the horizon? We have the financial might to go out there, make acquisitions and win contracts. We will continue to invest in quality assets and quality staff. We will continue to invest in new technology to help grow our revenues and help grow the whole of Outdoor. We will also continue to invest in the marketing of our brand as we put Titan firmly on the map and ensure that Outdoor is firmly on the media schedule, so you can be sure that you will be hearing a lot more from us in the future.
