New York, NY—December 2006—Titan Worldwide (www.titanoutdoor.com), the world’s fastest-growing out-of-home advertising company, today announced that it has been awarded the contract to sell advertising media on North America’s largest public transit system—New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) (www.mta.nyc.ny.us/). Pursuant to contracts that begin January 1st, 2007, Titan Worldwide will assume advertising sales responsibilities for all New York City and Long Island buses, as well as all Commuter Rail encompassing the Long Island Rail Road, Metro North Railroad, Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station.

Titan Worldwide is a diversified, global media conglomerate with Bus, Commuter Rail, Subway, traditional Outdoor billboards and other Out of Home properties. Titan is a company that enjoys a truly impressive growth story. Founded in 2001 by Out-of-Home visionary William Apfelbaum, and led by President and CEO Donald Allman, Titan began with just 12 employees and $3 million in net revenue. Five years later, Titan Worldwide now counts 700 employees and pro forma sales for 2006 of approximately $350 million.

“New York is our hometown and the largest transit advertising market in the world,” said Titan Worldwide Chairman William M. Apfelbaum. “As we’ve grown to become a $350 million company in less than five years, we’ve competed for and won many Transit advertising contracts across the U.S. and Europe—it’s fantastic news for our company to win the largest US transit market, particularly when it’s in our own backyard.”

“Titan has overperformed in every market that we’ve entered and we’re thrilled about the opportunity to do the same for the contracts with the MTA. This win represents a seismic shift in the Out-of-Home advertising business and puts Titan front and center with advertisers as New York’s most visible advertising presence. We are very much looking forward to January when we will kick off our ten-year partnership with the MTA,” said Titan Worldwide CEO Don Allman.

Beginning in January, Titan will have the opportunity to offer clients a variety of advertising solutions throughout the New York Metropolitan area. In addition to the aforementioned bus and rail products, Titan offers telephone kiosks, Outdoor bulletins and citywide banner programs.

The MTA’s vast network of bus (over 6000 vehicles) and commuter rail accommodates an annual ridership topping a billion passengers. In addition to North America’s largest bus network, LIRR and Metro-North are the largest and second largest commuter railroads in the nation. This victory returns William Apfelbaum and Donald Allman to the leadership roles in the transit advertising industry they held previously when they operated TDI (Transportation Displays Incorporated).
