UIP was the first advertiser to take advantage of this new and improved, targeted Transvision solution. Using the Leisure pack to promote their latest film release ‘Children of Men’, allowed them to concentrate activity into weekday evenings and weekends. The Leisure pack runs from 7.30pm on a Wednesday and 4pm on a weekend, and aims to reach an audience in a leisure frame of mind, thinking about their weekend and evening’s entertainment ahead.
Other packs include three grouped along geographical lines and three that are targeted by time of day and day of week. The London Square Mile covers stations serving the city centres, the commuter pack, runs 6.30am-9.30am and 4.30pm-7.30pm on weekdays, while the shopper pack runs from 9.30 – 4.30pm on weekdays and all day until 4pm on weekends.
It’s not just UIP who are taking advantage of the new packaging and innovation available through Transvision. We have some great campaigns coming up. Starting on the 25th September, 3 have booked Promorail distribution space at Charing Cross, Birmingham New St, Manchester Piccadilly & Liverpool Lime St. Their staff will have with them top of the range mobiles that can accept and send SMS, hotmail and MSN messages. They are inviting commuters to send their messages to the screen. These messages will go from the phone, to 3's technicians, who will edit and format them before sending them to us to get onto the screens via Dynamic Copy. During the first 2 days of the campaign, we have dynamically posted over 800 messages on Transvision. This is what the industry calls 'User Generated Advertising' and as such, is a Transvision first.
Other innovative campaigns coming soon...a Transvision and Promorail collaboration! Look out for BMW from the 9th of October, they have created a simulator that they will be taking around national termini stations, to promote the new X3 model. Footage of station users taking part in the promotion will be digitally transmitted via Transvision, along with their name and position on the leader board.
