Titan Worldwide is pleased to announce the acquisition of a majority holding in the bus advertising divisions of Adbus and the establishment of a joint venture to develop bus advertising opportunities in the UK and Europe. Titan Bus UK Ltd and Titan Bus Europe Ltd will be majority-owned by Titan, and jointly managed with the Adbus management team.
Representing over 300 bus companies and 4,000 buses, Adbus is the UK’s largest British-owned bus advertising contractor. Titan’s acquisition of Adbus’ bus business provides a solid base for continued expansion of its footprint throughout the UK and Europe. It follows Titan’s contract win in January to run all of the outdoor advertising assets of CIE, the national operator of public transit in the Republic of Ireland, and its acquisition of Maiden Group in May.
Commenting on the move, Bill Apfelbaum said: “This acquisition builds on Titan’s entry into the European bus advertising market in January this year with our contract win in Ireland. Titan has a unique pedigree in the transit advertising business, already operating very successfully in North America and Ireland. Now we intend to introduce new competition to the UK and Europe and make a real difference in these markets.”
